Guest Room

When we first moved to GA the boys were in 3rd-4th grade so they didn't need as much room as they did through middle school and high school.  We create a beautiful guest room retreat which stayed that way for a few years.  Then we realized that without a basement, the boys needed a place to hang out with their friends.  We moved the guest room furniture into Jeff's room and transformed the room into the game room.  We bought a sofa, moved in a 42" flat screen and added a minifrig.  We repainted to a dark grey and put up all kinds of tin signs and lacrosse paraphernalia.  Once we moved Jeff's gaming computer in there, we quickly realized that this was becoming Jeff's 2nd bedroom instead of a hangout room for the both of them.

After another year and in the words of Jimmy Buffett, we decided to "take it back"!  Here is our transformation back into our guest room.

This a work in progress.

You can see how dark the walls were here - that was the last section of the 1st coat of primer.
