So I picked up the used desk at a garage sale for $20. Here are my steps to revamp:
Step 1: CLEAN the piece very well - I like Windex multi-surface but you can use whatever your preference.
Step 2 - Remove all the hardware and paint with 1st color. This will show once the crackle process takes place. The pictures below make my paint look white but it's actually a very light blue. You may need 2 coats!
Step 3 - Not shown - paint the piece with the top color - this color is usually a darker color than the base coat but you can switch it up if you're a rebel!
Step 4 - Not shown - use a crackle product to get desired look for piece. My finished product is below.
Final - buy new hardware - nothing worse than a refreshed piece with dated hardware!
Welcome to our blog, a spin-off our our family blog which I was awful at keeping up to date. This site was specifically created to keep track of our special projects around the house in order to inspire others as they have done for us. Happy crafting!
